Nivel de conocimientos sobre lactancia materna exclusiva en madres adolescentes atendidas en el servicio de gineco obstetricia del Hospital Santa Rosa, Puerto Maldonado, 2017.

Abstract

El presente trabajo intitulado “NIVEL DE CONOCIMIENTOS SOBRE LACTANCIA MATERNA EXCLUSIVA EN MADRES ADOLESCENTES ATENDIDAS EN EL SERVICIO DE GINECO OBSTETRICIA DEL HOSPITAL SANTA ROSA, PUERTO MALDONADO, 2017”. El objetivo fue Determinar nivel de conocimientos sobre lactancia materna exclusiva en madres adolescentes atendidas en el servicio de Gineco Obstetricia del Hospital Santa Rosa, Puerto Maldonado, 2017. El diseño metodológico: fue descriptivo trasversal, la población muestral estuvo conformada por 95 madres adolescentes. La técnica utilizada fue la entrevista y el instrumento fue el cuestionario. Los resultados fueron: Dentro de las características generales se tiene que el 69% de las madres tienen edades de 17 a 18 años, 41% de las madres provienen de zonas rurales, el 45% de las madres se dedican al estudio, el 46% de las madres adolescentes tienen un ingreso económico de 750 - 1000 soles, el 72% de las madres tiene secundaria completa, 52% son convivientes, el 76% de las madres tiene un solo hijo. Dentro del nivel de conocimiento sobre lactancia materna el 61% desconoce sobre la definicion de lactancia materna exclusiva, 73% desconoce sobre la hora de inicio de la lactancia materna, el 59% desconoce sobre la importancia de la lactancia materna exclusiva, 57% desconoce los beneficios de la lactancia materna, 59% desconoce sobre los beneficios maternos de la Lactancia materna, 65% desconoce hasta que edad se debe brindar lactancia materna exclusiva, 53% conoce cuanto tiempo se debe amamantar al niño en cada sesión, 69% desconoce sobre la conservación de lactancia materna, 72% si conoce cuales son los intervalos para brindar lactancia materna exclusiva, 62% conoce cuales son las técnicas de amamantamiento, 70% no conoce sobre la definicion del calostro, 69% desconoce sobre la importancia del calostro. En conclusión se obtuvo que el 51% tiene un conocimiento malo sobre lactancia materna exclusiva, 28% un regular conocimiento y 21% un buen conocimiento.

The present work entitled “LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE ON EXCLUSIVE BREASTFEEDING IN ADOLESCENT MOTHERS ATTENDED AT THE GINECO OBSTETRICS SERVICE OF SANTA ROSA HOSPITAL, PUERTO MALDONADO, 2017“. The objective was to determine the level of knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding in adolescent mothers attended in the service of Obstetrics Gynecology Hospital Santa Rosa, Puerto Maldonado, 2017. The methodological design was descriptive cross-sectional, the sample population was composed of 95 teenage mothers. The technique used was the interview and the instrument was the questionnaire. The results were: Within the general characteristics, 69% of mothers are between 17 and 18 years old, 41% of mothers come from rural areas, 45% of mothers study, 46% of adolescent mothers have an economic income of 750 - 1000 soles, 72% of mothers have complete secondary education, 52% are cohabitants, 76% of mothers have only one child. Within the level of knowledge about breastfeeding 61% do not know about the definition of exclusive breastfeeding, 73% do not know about the time of initiation of breastfeeding, 59% do not know about the importance of exclusive breastfeeding, 57% do not know about benefits of breastfeeding, 59% are unaware of the maternal benefits of breastfeeding, 65% are unaware of the age until exclusive breastfeeding should be provided, 53% know how long the child should be breast-fed in each session, 69% are unaware of the maintenance of breastfeeding, 72% if you know what are the intervals for exclusive breastfeeding, 62% know what are breastfeeding techniques, 70% do not know about the definition of colostrum, 69% do not know about the importance of colostrum. In conclusion it was obtained that 51% have a bad knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding, 28% a regular knowledge and 21% a good knowledge.
