The present work called “EVALUATION AND IMPACT OF ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE ON THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE CUSCO REGION IN THE YEARS 2012 TO 2018“, was developed since the roads are a fundamental piece for the interconnection of the Cusco region, the transport system generates a lot of benefit, either in efficiency or in the effects of the transport of goods or the transfer of people, that is to say, the roads encourage changes either in the distribution of the population or in productive activities. And throughout these years, investment in road infrastructure has been increasing with the connectivity plan of the most remote departments and areas of our country, and especially our region does not have studies on the subject and it is of great importance. For the reason already stated above, it should be mentioned that this research is analyzed and the impact that incites spending on road infrastructure is measured against the dependent variables such as agricultural production, enrolled students and mortality, for this the evolution of the variables is analyzed involved in the study, throughout the seven years from 2012 to 2018 in the Cusco region. The general problem of the research is “How does the cost of road infrastructure impact on economic development in the provinces of the Cusco region in the years 2012 - 2018?“ For what has already been stated, the objectives of this research are proposed and the main objective is “How does the cost of road infrastructure impact on economic development in the provinces of the Cusco region in the years 2012 - 2018“. The general hypothesis of this research is that spending on road infrastructure has a significant impact on the economic development of the provinces of the Cusco region in the years 2012 to 2018. This research is non-experimental with a correlational QUANTITATIVE approach, since the variable spending on road infrastructure will be studied against the dependent variables, that is, measuring the impact that the independent variable has on the economic development of the Cusco region. note that this research uses panel data models. The research concludes that spending on road infrastructure is directly related to each of the variables dependent on the research, since agricultural production increases as well as enrolled students and mortality decreases if spending on road infrastructure is increased. see increased.
