The present investigation was oriented to the study of the numerical variations of the properties of resistance to axial compression and resistance to diagonal compression, evaluated through prismatic specimens made with a mortar added with polypropylene fibers in percentages of 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.5 %, 1.0% and 1.5%, measured in relation to the weight of the cement. The manufacture of specimens was also carried out with solid units of King Kong masonry 18 holes of semi-industrial manufacture, settled with a conventional mortar (C: A) 1: 4 added with polypropylene fibers, this in turn was made with a combination of fine aggregates from the Pisac and Vicho quarries, Portland type IP cement and potable water. In addition, tests were carried out on the physical and mechanical properties of the aforementioned aggregates and on the King Kong 18 masonry units made in the city of Cusco, a masonry unit with high demand in the Cusco market. The preparation of samples for the axial compression test consisted of 30 stacks of 24.0 x 61.5 cm. of 6 courses, of these 05 were settled with a conventional mortar (C: A) 1: 4 without addition and 25 were settled with a mortar added with polypropylene fibers, while for the diagonal compression test were made 30 walls of 61.5 x 61.5 cm. of 6 courses, of these 05 were settled with a conventional mortar (C: A) 1: 4 without addition and 25 were settled with a mortar added with polypropylene fibers; additionally, for the compression test of the mortar, cubic samples of 5 cm were prepared. on the side, which were also tested at 28 days. It should be noted that for the development of the mentioned tests the Standard E.070 of Masonry and Peruvian Technical Standards was used: NTP 399.605, NTP 399.621 and NTP 334.051 respectively. It must also be indicated that for the elaboration of all the samples under study, a qualified workforce was used consisting of an operator and a laborer. According to the results, very important conclusions were obtained, of which it is possible to emphasize that additions between 0.1 to 1% increase the resistance to axial compression of the masonry prisms up to 25.55%, and in 19.88% the diagonal compression resistance , such was the case of the 0.5% addition where the best results were presented for both tests; however, the addition of 1.5% decreased the resistance to axial compression by 9.24% and the resistance to diagonal compression of the masonry prisms by 29.16%.Finally, it was determined that the cost of processing per square meter of a masonry wall built with King Kong bricks 18 holes and a mortar (C: A) 1: 4 with an addition of 0.5%, dosage with which obtained the best results, it increases by 3.93% and 8.24% for rope and head gear, respectively.
