The present research aims to describe the level of expression of state-trait anger in patients with hypertension, who receive treatment in a hospital in the city of Cusco - 2022. For this purpose, 372 subjects participated (with simple random sampling method obtained by Excel), whose ages ranged from 16 years and older. The research was structured under a non-experimental, descriptive and cross-sectional design; information was collected through the state-trait anger expression inventory (Spielberger, 2001). The results showed the existence of levels of state-trait anger expression in patients with hypertension who receive treatment in a hospital in Cusco, in addition, it is observed in a considerable way the existence of high levels of anger expression in hypertensive patients who receive treatment in a hospital in the city of Cusco with obesity, also, it is considered that the qualification of the instrument presents double realization, on the one hand, for the state of anger the usual diagnostic range is shown, for direct score conversion, while for the trait anger and the expression of anger percentiles are handled, therefore, in order to unify the diagnoses it was decided to establish the cut-off points in quartiles 25, 50 and 75 and in this way generate four diagnostic groups, rigorously following the qualification scales. These results led to the conclusion that most of the hypertensive patients evaluated were in the moderate level of anger expression, followed by the high, low and null levels, the results being understood as a certain control in the verbal or physical manifestation of anger, in the face of concrete stimuli or emotions.
