The objective of this study was to analyze the factors associated with non-adherence to the treatment of Parkinson's disease in two peruvian health service providing institutions, in the period January 2023-January 2024. Material and method: It is a quantitative, analytical, non-experimental, observational and cross-sectional study. We worked with non- probabilistic, convenience sampling, applying the Morisky Green test and a factor questionnaire validated by expert judgment. For the univariate statistical analysis, frequency distribution, mean and standard deviation were used, and for the bivariate analysis the value of p<0.05 of the chi-square test as an indicator of a significant association. Results and conclusions: 99 patients participated, of which 69% of patients were non-adherent to treatment and 31% were adherent. The factors associated with adherence to Parkinson's disease treatment that were found were: the absence of a caregiver, the absence of perception of receiving information about the benefits of the treatment by the healthcare staff, the absence of perception of a clear explanation (without technicalities) by the medical staff, taking more than one medication, the presence of at least one adverse effect of the medication, the absence of motivation to continue taking the medication, the absence of motivation to continue taking the medication and the belief in the importance of continuing taking the medications to improve the symptoms.
