The following research thesis work that is exposed below is entitled "EVALUATION OF THE PHYSICAL-MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF ADOBE WITH REPLACEMENT OF ICHU BY CABUYA FIBER, IN THE QUISPIQUILLA SECTOR OF THE DISTRICT OF SAN SEBASTIÁN – CUSCO 2022", the objective of this research was to determine quantitatively how the physical mechanical properties of a traditional adobe with ichu vary to an adobe made of earth and fiber of cabuya in different proportions the same as were made in the sector of Quispiquilla, district of San Sebastián. For this purpose, a total of 125 adobes were prepared; 95 adobe units with dimensions of 40cm x 20cm x 10cm for the tests of specific weight, absorption, suction, accelerated erosion wear of Swinburne and tensile strength, and 30 units of adobe with dimensions of 20cm x 20cm x 10cm for the compressive strength test. Traditional earth adobes were made and earth adobes plus cabuya fiber were made in replacement in the percentages of: 0% cabuya fiber (0.00 gr) + 100% straw (55gr), 25% cabuya fiber (13.75gr) + 75% straw (41.25gr), 50% cabuya fiber (27.50gr) + 50% straw (27.50gr), 75% cabuya fiber (41.25gr) + 25% straw (13.75) and 100% cabuya fiber (55gr) + 0% straw (0.00gr). To analyze the variation of the physical-mechanical properties of adobe when replacing ichu with cabuya fiber, tests were carried out on unit weight, absorption, suction, wear by accelerated erosion Swinburne, resistance to compression and tensile strength, the tests were carried out in the GEOTEST laboratory and in accordance with the current regulations described below. The results obtained show us that, when performing the replacement with cabuya fiber, it is possible to increase the compressive strength and tensile strength compared to traditional adobe and that 100% of the replacement achieves better results.
