The objective of this research was to determine the impact of monetary policy on employment and income in Peru in the context of COVID-19, for which it had a methodological design with a quantitative approach, descriptive-explanatory, non- experimental and longitudinal scope., the sample was composed of data from the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP) on monetary policy and the National Household Survey (ENAHO) on employment and income during the period 2020-2022, among the main results are: Regarding the behavior of the variables, it was found that the reference interest rate, in the period before COVID-19 (2010-2019) had an average value of 3.52, after COVID-19 (2020-2022), the average was 2.33; for the occupancy rate, the average was 64.05 before COVID-19 and 55.44 after; For real income, the average was S/ 1810.27 and S/ 1661.69 respectively, observing important differences such as the decrease in the reference interest rate, decrease in the occupancy rate and income. Conclusion: it was found that an increase in the interest rate can have a positive impact on employment, but with a very short duration (5 months) and then diluted over time, that is, a transitory shock, with respect to income, Results suggest that an interest rate increase can have a positive impact on income, but resembles a permanent shock.
