The main objective of this research was to evaluate how the reduction of eucalyptus ash can improve the physical and mechanical characteristics of the soils used in determining the subgrade in the section EMP-CU-709 (6km) Quellupay - Pumapuncu of the Lares district. The research design corresponds to a quasi-experimental approach, which was carried out by implementing five treatments along 4 test pits (C-01, C-02, C-03, and C-04). The zero treatment (T0) served as the control treatment; for treatment one (T1), eucalyptus ash was added to the tropical soil at 10%; for treatment two (T2), eucalyptus ash was added to the tropical soil at 14%; for treatment three (T3), eucalyptus ash was added to the tropical soil at 18%; and finally, for treatment four (T4), eucalyptus ash was added to the tropical soil at 22%. The population is limited to the soils of Lares, and a series of test pits were recorded from progressive Km+0.00 to progressive Km+6.00. In conclusion, it can be affirmed that the use of eucalyptus ash as a soil stabilizer could be an effective alternative to improve the mechanical characteristics of the soil in the area under consideration, which could positively contribute to the development of infrastructure and the reduction of road maintenance expenses.
