The objective of this work is to propose intervention strategies through the comparative analysis of the road condition indices (PASER methodology and PCI methodology) of the road going up between Wánchaq and San Sebastián intersection Av. de la Cultura and Av. Mariscal Gamarra and the downhill road at the intersection of Avenida de la Cultura and Av. Mariscal Gamarra and the border between Wánchaq and San Sebastián; The asphalt layer of this road going up and down is deteriorated, with clear evidence of various failures in the pavement, the most frequent being crocodile failures, failure of block cracks, longitudinal and transversal cracks, and holes, which makes it necessary to an immediate intervention for its conservation, since this road is the main access to the city of Cusco; with high traffic of light and light vehicles It is vital to promote track maintenance and repair in order to have a network of tracks for proper use. Due to the high construction costs of paved roads, pavement maintenance is of the utmost importance today. From an economic point of view, the end user benefits greatly from better performance, more comfort, and savings in time and money in vehicle maneuvering. Therefore, it is important to make a habit of fixing and repairing the roads. The objective of this project is to develop a flexible pavement management tool that includes different intervention strategies, the results of the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) and PASER techniques will be used in the studied area. These strategies will be put into practice by visual inspection and calculations that fit the requirements of each method. This research is developed in five chapters: In Chapter I: Analyzes the state of the paved road on the road, examining the problems presented by the surface layer and the absence of a pavement management system that can help fix the road. In Chapter II: To do this, it is based on all previous research, including national, international, local studies and theories on pavement evaluation. In Chapter III: The application of techniques such as PASER and PCI (pavement condition index), as well as the collection, treatment and interpretation of the data collected and the results of the tests. In Chapter IV: To facilitate the exchange of information, both the conclusions gathered throughout the study and the possible solutions provided to each problem will be presented. And Chapter V: The formulation of intervention methods, completed with the appropriate discussions and suggestions based on the study, is the means to achieve the desired objectives.
