Objective: To evaluate the fluoride concentration and pH value in the mouthwashes marketed in the city of Cusco - 2021. Materials and methods: This research work is a descriptive, cross-sectional, observational-laboratory quantitative study. The sample consisted of 35 fluoride mouthwashes of the Colgate, Oral B, Listerine and Dento brands marketed in the city of Cusco, selected according to the inclusion criteria. They were divided into 7 groups, made up of 5 mouthwashes each; a pH meter was used for pH measurement and a UV-Vis Spectrometer was used for sodium fluoride measurement, both at room temperature and at 37ºC. The SPSS program was used to validate the statistical tables, the statistical test was given by Student's ttest and Wilcoxon's t-test. Results: The fluoride concentrations of the mouthwash packaging ranged from 220 to 226 ppm of fluoride. Regarding the fluoride concentration of the packaging at room temperature, the greatest variation was positive for the oral B brand with a mean difference of 5ppm (p=0.167) and the Listerine brand with a negative variation of -33ppm, both without statistically significant values. With respect to the concentration at 37°C, the Colgate mouthwashes obtained a negative variation, Colgate Plax Ice being the most outstanding with -9 ppm of fluoride, and the Listerine brand had a negative variation from 220ppm to 185ppm. On the other hand, comparing the pH at room temperature and at 37°C, the Colgate, Dento and Oral B brands had a positive variation, while the Listerine brand had a negative variation from 4.4 to 4.3. Conclusion: All the fluoride mouthwashes analyzed showed variation. The mouthwashes that had the highest concentration of fluoride according to the packaging were the Dento and Oral B brands, and the one with the lowest concentration was the Listerine brand. The Listerine brand obtained the greatest variation in fluoride concentration at a temperature of 37°C. The greatest positive variation of the pH of the mouthwashes at room temperature with the temperature at 37°C was the Colgate plax ice glacial brand.
