The study entitled: CHARACTERISTICS OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONSUMPTION IN STUDENTS FROM THE 1st TO THE 3rd SEMESTER, PROFESSIONAL SCHOOL OF CIVIL ENGINEERING, ANDEAN UNIVERSITY OF CUSCO - 2018. The objective of which was the characteristics of the consumption of alcoholic beverages in students from the 1st to the 3rd semester, School Professional of Civil Engineering, Universidad Andina del Cusco 2018. The methodology used was of a descriptive type of non-experimental cross-sectional design, the technique used was the interview that considered 193 students from the Professional School of Civil Engineering of the Universidad Andina del Cusco Among the characteristics, it was found that 46.2% are between 16-19 years of age, 73.1% are male, 52.9% are in the first academic semester and 66.8% practice the Christian-Catholic religion. The characteristics of the consumption of alcoholic beverages in the dimensions of the family environment are found in: 52.3% of students indicated that both parents consume alcoholic beverages and 76.2% lied to their parents or guardians for going to drink on some occasions; in relation to the social environment: 48.7% consume alcoholic beverages for pleasure, 95.9% drink regularly with friends, 81.3% indicate that alcoholic beverages are easy to get, 69.4% drank alcohol until they lost control, 39.8% drink alcohol around the university and 56.5% finance the drinks through a common stock market; in relation to the academic environment: 71.5% of students indicated that they sometimes missed classes because of drinking and 53.9% of students disapproved of any course because of drinking; within the types and frequency of consumption of alcoholic beverages: 58.5% consume fermented beverages such as beer or wine and 53.9% consume alcoholic beverages every weekend
