Sandoval Lake is 30 minutes by boat from the city of Puerto Maldonado, after a walk of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes in rainy season. This place is the most visited of the Tambopata Reserve since it has a variety of species in flora and fauna in this place are two endangered species the black lizard and the giant otter or river wolf in the place we can find hostels that offer their services of restaurant and lodging also different types of activities such as caimaneo and path on the way The general objective for the elaboration of this work is to describe how sustainable tourism is being developed in Lake Sandoval in Puerto Maldonado, Department of Madre de Dios – 2017. The methodology used to carry out this research work is descriptive, because the data of the area are described. In the conclusions it has been determined that sustainable tourism in Lake Sandoval is being developed in an adequate way by the shelters since the workers have knowledge of what is conservation of the environment. although they themselves indicate that they really need to improve some aspects such as the management of solid waste as shown in the table with a percentage of 60% say it is good but 40% say it is fair, with all the information collected it was known that the shelters if they are interested in sustainably managing the tourist activity. The development of social sustainability in Lake Sandoval is developing adequately because if jobs have been generated, the quality of life has improved, respecting their rights and providing them with the corresponding benefits for workers who work in tourist companies, feeling satisfied with their work and coexisting in a harmonious way since the owners of the hostels are families. In relation to the development of economic sustainability in Lake Sandoval according to the graphs, it was possible to know that it is being carried out adequately, since it has generated a beneficial income for the families that live in that place. The environmental sustainability if it is being developed in an adequate way the shelters have environmental conservation policies such as recycling and protection of endangered species.
