The present investigation called: “COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY AND PHYSICAL-MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF ADOBE UNITS STABILIZED WITH POLYESTER FIBER IN FRONT OF TRADITIONAL ADOBE, OF THE ADOBERAS LOCATED IN THE DISTRICT OF SAN SEBASTIÁN-CUSCO properties“ Physico-mechanical adobe stabilized with polyester fiber compared to traditional adobe wishing Innovate with new applications in the elaboration of sustainable and eco-friendly adobe elements with the environment through the transformation of polyester fibers, determined according to the weight percentage of the traditional adobe unit, also taking into account the workability of the mix, being polyester fiber a 100% recycled material of plastic bottles that is stabilized with the adobe element, capable of overcoming its thermal and physical-mechanical properties, making it more resistant to natural phenomena such as: earthquakes, frost, snow, cold, rain, etc. in rural and high Andean areas of Peru. The methodology used in this research was a quantitative approach, a descriptive and hypothetical-deductive level, and a quasi-experimental design, for which 52 traditional adobe elements, 52 adobe elements stabilized at 0.25%, 52 adobe elements stabilized at 0.50 were developed. % and 52 elements of adobe stabilized at 0.75% to make a comparison that seeks to improve thermal conductivity and physical-mechanical properties according to Peruvian Technical Standard E070, E080 and Spanish Standard UNE 41410. Through the use of formats such as: data, data procedures and results. Where warpage, dimensional variation, water suction, water absorption, Swinburne Accelerated Erosion (SAET), drip wear, compressive strength, flexural strength and thermal conductivity were evaluated in the university soil laboratory Andean from Cusco. Thus, adobes stabilized at 0.25%, 0.50% and 0.75% are better than traditional adobes with regard to thermal conductivity and physical-mechanical properties. As a result, traditional adobe elements showed 0.89 (w / (m- ° K)) of thermal conductivity and 10.3 kg / cm2 of compressive strength being surpassed by 0.25% stabilized adobes with 0.75 (w / (m- ° K)) of thermal conductivity and 15.2 kg / cm2 of compression resistance, 0.50% with 0.70 (w / (m- ° K)) of thermal conductivity and 19.1 kg / cm2 of compression resistance and 0.75% with 0.67 (w / (m- ° K)) thermal conductivity and 20.4 kg / cm2 compressive strength, therefore the adobe element stabilized at 0.50% is recommended for commercial manufacture.
