Objective: The objective of this research was to determine the influence of the use of bottles in dental caries of children from 2 to 4 years of age who come to the Pediatric Service of the Regional Hospital. Cusco - 2016. Material and methods: Research level study is descriptive and relational. According to the prospective and cross-sectional and field period, the study sample consisted of 100 children from 2 to 4 years of age who have ingested sugary substances by bottle that attend the Pediatric Service of the Regional Hospital. Cusco - 2016, being the non-probabilistic sampling for convenience. The questionnaire was used for information on the characteristics of bottle use and clinical observation to collect data on the variable dental caries using the ceod index, quantitative statistical analysis was used, which was done by means of the correlation analysis using the test. Chi square statistic being the level of significance of p <0.05. Results: The ceod index was severe with respect to the characteristics of the use of bottles in which they used sweet mates, milk with sugar and all (1%, 33% and 46% respectively); in those with a high and medium frequency (71.0% and 8% respectively), in those who use bottles during the day, before bedtime, during the night, and at all times (10%, 7%, 56%, respectively , in those who started taking bottles from 0 to 6 months, 6 months to 1 year,> 1 year up to 1.6 years and> 1.6 -2 years (19%, 37%, 19% and 5% respectively) in which take bottles from 1 to 6 months,> 6 months to 1 year> 1 years to 1.5 years,> 1.5 years to 2 years,> 2 years to 2.5 years,> 2.5 years to 3 years, and> 3 years (3.0%, 2.0%, 16.0%, 20.0%, 21.0%, 16.0% and 2.0% respectively).Conclusions: The influence of bottle feeding on dental caries was found at a severe level in all dimensions.
