During the health crisis, COVID-19 patients experienced extreme stress situations, and it is necessary to understand how their levels of resilience were related to this situation. The study aimed to establish the relationship between stress coping strategies and resilience among COVID-19 patients treated at the Regional Hospital of Cusco in 2021. The approach is quantitative, cross-sectional, and non-experimental, with a correlational scope. A total of 500 COVID-19 patients aged 18 to 70 were considered, and the sampling was non-probabilistic. Of these, 82% were male and 18% were female. Data were collected using the Coping Styles Questionnaire – COPE and the Wagnild & Young Resilience Scale. Correlational analysis was conducted using the Spearman coefficient. The results indicate a low relationship between coping strategies and resilience in patients (rho=0.126; p<0.05). It is concluded that a higher level of resilience enables the use of more adaptive stress coping strategies in COVID-19 patients.
