Life imprisonment in Peru, the interest in maintaining the death penalty in our criminal law, for reasons of political interference in the development of standards and to create a climate of apparent citizen security was heightened not only it applied in cases of crimes terrorism but was also extended to other serious crimes, reaching sobrecriminalizar various offenses generating intrasystemic contradictions within itself Penal Code that exceeded guiding principles of our criminal law, contained in the Preliminary Title of the Criminal Code of 1991, such as the principle of proportionality, guilt, among others. Modern trends of criminal law are directed towards eliminating long sentences and propose alternatives for those short lived ineffective for the purposes of criminal law to consider them, so I think that uniformity of this is not respected as it is given a procedural imbalance in determining sentence, given the seriousness of the offenses and reducing sentences to avoid different circumstances such as procedural burden, procedural economy and celerity, therefore there is no mechanism that makes the sentence imposed in the same sequence for all, and these in turn end up taking early termination or early termination, this is where the change comes in question to the punishment given to the accused.
