At present, population growth has been increasing significantly. For this reason, the demand for buildings that cover the basic needs, were increasing. The concrete is considered the most important building material used, due to its extraordinary versatility to be shaped. Their physical and mechanical properties, favor the concrete to be used as a structural element. Hence, this continues to be studied to improve its properties in the fresh and hardened states. In the construction industry, currently the addition of steel fiber is becoming more and more constant, because it improves the durability and increases the control capacity of cracking, resistance to tension and consistency. Therefore, the addition of these makes the concrete less workable. However, studies are required to certify the favorability of this product for the concrete, in regard to the properties of working effectiveness and resistance to flexion and compression. On the other hand, there is a study to improve the properties of concrete. It’s focused on new methods of vibration and consolidation techniques of it, allowing it to develop Auto Compactable Concrete (ACC). The one that in the plastic state flows and is consolidated by effect of its own weight, maintaining its homogeneity, without segregation or exudation during and after its transport, distribution and placement. For this reason, the following research is made. It consists in comparing a conventional concrete and an autocompactable one, both added with steel fibers to 20,30 and 50 kg/m3 of concrete, elaborated with aggregates of the quarries of Vicho and Cunyac. The autocompactable concrete was made with the Okamura-Ouchi method and the conventional concrete with the ACI method. Both concretes were made with Portland cement IP, fine aggregate of the quarries of Cunyac and Vicho, 3/4“quarry Vicho’s coarse aggregate, a super plasticizer additive Chema SUPERPLAST and steel fibers LHO 45/35 NB. To conclude, the workability was assessed by three properties of the concrete in the fresh state: capacity of passage, filling and resistance to segregation. The resistance to compression and flexion was evaluated by the manufacture of briquettes and joists subjected to compression and flexion at 7, 14 and 28 days, respectively. These properties were evaluated for each type of concrete so that self-compacting concrete with the addition of 20 kg / m3 of LHO 45/35 NB concrete was determined to be the most viable solution. Since it has a high workability, achieving a higher compressive strength of 377 kg / cm2 which represents 179.5% of the designed resistance, as well as the flexural strength obtaining the largest modulus of rupture of 53.25 kg/cm2 that exceeds the required Of 42 kg / cm2.
