The present research with title "Perceived social support and adherence to TARGA in adult patients with VIH/SIDA attending a public hospital, Cusco-2022", had the objective of determining the relationship between the level of perceived social support and the level of adherence to TARGA in adult patients attending a public hospital, Cusco-2022. The scope of the research was descriptive correlational with a non-experimental design. The population consisted of 537 patients of both sexes and a sample of 224, to whom the MOS questionnaire and the questionnaire for the Evaluation of Adherence to Antiretroviral Treatment (CEAT-VIH) were applied. The analysis of the results was performed by means of tables and figures using the SPSS statistical package. From the results, it was shown that Spearman's Rho correlation coefficient was 0.230 meaning indicating that there is a positive, low and significant relationship between social support and adherence to TARGA, the relationship was also corroborated by the Chi-Square test, where p = 0.009 being less than 0.05. Therefore, in conclusion, there is a direct relationship, and therefore, when there is a higher level of social support, there is also a higher level of adherence to TARGA and vice versa.
