Visual Merchandising is probably one of the components of marketing that is badly needed in the commercialization of products in our country, particularly among small and micro enterprises that sell consumer products. We start from the concept that the merchandising is not an exclusive practice of large companies, is perfectly applicable to small and micro enterprises that offer their wares if more attractively, would achieve greater success in sales and greater customer loyalty. Was chosen as a specific research topic on visual merchandising, which is the most tangible in supply and product presentation, it can be observed and evaluated very specifically. In that sense, the main objective of the study was to describe the visual merchandising business selling groceries from Avenida del Ejercito Cusco, 2015. There are many elements that can be analyzed in the Visual Merchandising; the theoretical analysis has enabled us to establish five large: Building Exterior, Interior design, Product Implementation, Advertising in the place of sale and commercial atmosphere. From a methodological point of view, we divided each of these dimensions in 3, 4 or 5 indicators, making a total of 19 indicators and 56 sub-indicators, the same as they were under observation and recognition of the researcher. Observation and photographic records, two data collection techniques were used. The observation sheet was designed taking into account the dimensions, indicators and subindicators identified in the operationalization of variables, adding a simple rating scale Likert unipolar character with four values are: O: not used, 1: inadequate 2 fairly adequate 3: adequate, with which we proceeded to determine the total scores and averages for each dimension. In parallel, a photographic record of each company observed to have visual documentation to provide detailed indicators Merchandising analysis was performed. The results show clearly that the visual merchandising in these businesses is largely inadequate, there are many elements that must be incorporated to achieve a fair presentation of the grocery products these businesses, however, the problem with that most companies face is little physical space that have most grocery stores. Temporary and sporadic help they receive from large distributors or manufacturers is not sufficient for proper presentation and product offerings.
