The present thesis is framed in the city of Cusco, where resistance to the initial and final compression was evaluated using the chemical component “lauryl ether sulfate 70%“ (LESS 70%), this component is used in the manufacture of soap or any input to produce bubbles, so it was used as a type of air-entraining admixture, which is used in cold climates, where there is the phenomenon of ice melting in the water. To check these results proceeded to the development of cylindrical specimens with compressive strengths of 175 kg / cm, 210 kg / cm² and 245 kg / cm, and curing time of 3, 5, 7,14 and 28 days, comparing percentages of the chemical component of 2%, 1% and 0.5%. The results of the investigation determined that the use of chemical component “lauryl ether sulfate 70%“ as additive against frost reduces resistance to the initial and final compression to 28 days the final resistance Compressive turned out well below the desired strength, this result was maintained for 3 percentages 2%, 1% and 0.5% As a result favorable possibility of using this particular, as a non-structural lightweight concrete, as its specific weight and strength are achieved within the parameters to meet the requirements of this type of concrete is obtained. These parameters indicated in “ACI 211.2 .- Standard Practice for Selecting Proportions for Structural Lightweight Concrete“, are a compressive strength at 28 days up to 70 kg / cm² and a volumetric weight not exceeding 1500 kg / m³.
