The objective of this research was to determine the existence of the analysis of palatal wrinkles, in terms of position and number for human identification based on gender dimorphism in patients who attended private clinics in the city of Cusco in the year 2021. Methodology: The present research work is a non-experimental, descriptive and observational cross-sectional quantitative study. The sample consisted of 120 patients, 60 men and 60 women. The samples were recorded in a data collection form (identorhogram) and a total of 1226 palatal rugae were analyzed, of which 667 were male and 559 female. The investigative technique used was Calcorugoscopy. The following results were found: Regarding shape; among the simple shapes of palatal wrinkles such as, Dot, Straight, Angle, Sinuous and Circle the proportion was higher in males and only the Curved shapes were higher in females, 59.4% and 40.6% in males. Regarding the position; of the identurogram both on the right and left side where, on the right side the highest presentation of shapes was for position 8 and the lowest frequency was for position 4. On the left side the highest presentation of shapes was for position 17 and the lowest frequency was for position 22. According to the number of palatal creases; both for males and females provided 50% of the observations. significantly different, a greater number of palatal creases was observed in the male sex with a mean of 12.5, a maximum of 14 and a minimum of 9 creases per person, and in the female sex with a mean of 9.96 per individual with a maximum of 12 and a minimum of 5 palatal creases. Indicating that men presented a greater number of palatal wrinkles as opposed to women. It was concluded that sexual dimorphism cannot be determined through the shape, position and number of palatal wrinkles.
