The present research work entitled PREVENTIVE KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICES ON MALARIA IN WORKERS OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ECHARATI, PROVINCIAL OF THE CONVENTION - CUSCO 2019, its purpose is to determine knowledge about malaria and preventive measures in workers of the municipality of Echarati, Cusco 2019; being a descriptive and transversal study; the sample consisted of 188 workers from the municipality of Echarati. The results on the general characteristics: 42.9% have ages between 18 to 30 years, 61.7% male, 71.9% have higher education, 52.4% single, 69.2% come from urban areas and 55.2% perform administrative work. responded incorrectly, 58.9% identify the symptoms, 95.3% know about the form of infection, 19.6% identify the Anopheles vector, 57% know where the vector lives, 24.3% indicate that the female mosquito is the transmitter of the disease, 51.4 % not on the types of malaria that exist, 34.6% know about the reproduction of the vector, 52.3% know about their feeding of the vector, 52.3% know how to prevent the disease. 58.9% have a bad knowledge level about malaria disease. Regarding preventive practices on malaria among workers, it shows that: 66.4% sometimes participate in talks given by health personnel, 54.2% sometimes participate in drainage activities of puddles and / or arms of rivers, 51.4% sometimes use mosquito netting to sleep, 58.9% sometimes use repellent to go outdoors, 50.5% always eliminate the accumulated water, 48.6% always clean the contour of their home and eliminate puddles, 65.4% sometimes uses insecticides and pesticides , 75.7% sometimes wear long sleeves, 72.9% sometimes seek information about the disease, 65.4% sometimes meet the recommendations provided by health personnel and 47.7% have a bad prevention practice level.
