Conocimientos y prácticas preventivas sobre la malaria en trabajadores de la Municipalidad de Echarati, la Convención - Cusco 2019

Abstract

La investigación intitulada CONOCIMIENTOS Y PRÁCTICAS PREVENTIVAS SOBRE LA MALARIA EN TRABAJADORES DE LA MUNICIPALIDAD DE ECHARATI, PROVINCIAL DE LA CONVENCION - CUSCO 2019, Tiene como finalidad determinar conocimientos sobre malaria y medidas preventivas en trabajadores de la Municipalidad de Echarati, Cusco 2019; siendo un estudio descriptivo y transversal; la muestra estuvo constituida por 188 trabajadores de la municipalidad de Echarati. Los resultados sobre las características generales: el 42.9% tienen edad entre 18 a 30 años, el 61.7% son sexo masculino, el 71.9% nivel superior, el 52.4% solteros, el 69.2% provienen de zona urbana y el 55.2% realizan actividad administrativa. Conocimiento sobre malaria, el 77.6% no sabe que es malaria, el 58.9% conoce los síntomas, el 95.3% sabe la forma de contagio, el 19.6% identifica al vector Anopheles, el 57% conoce su habitad, el 24.3% indica a la hembra quien transmite la enfermedad, el 51.4% no conoce los tipos de malaria, el 34.6% conoce su reproducción, el 52.3% conoce el alimento del vector, el 52.3% conoce la prevención y el 58.9% tiene un nivel de conocimiento malo sobre la malaria. Sobre las práctica preventivas: el 66.4% a veces participa en las capacitaciones sobre malaria, el 54.2% a veces participa en las actividades de drenaje de charcos, el 51.4% a veces usa mosquitero, el 58.9% a veces usa repelente, el 50.5% siempre eliminan el agua acumulada, el 48.6% siempre limpia el contorno de su vivienda, el 65.4% a veces utiliza insecticidas y pesticidas, el 75.7% a veces usa polos de manga larga, el 72.9% a veces busca información, el 65.4% a veces cumple las recomendaciones que brinda el personal de salud y el 47.7% práctica un nivel de prevención malo.

The present research work entitled PREVENTIVE KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICES ON MALARIA IN WORKERS OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ECHARATI, PROVINCIAL OF THE CONVENTION - CUSCO 2019, its purpose is to determine knowledge about malaria and preventive measures in workers of the municipality of Echarati, Cusco 2019; being a descriptive and transversal study; the sample consisted of 188 workers from the municipality of Echarati.

Regarding preventive practices on malaria among workers, it shows that: 66.4% sometimes participate in talks given by health personnel, 54.2% sometimes participate in drainage activities of puddles and / or arms of rivers, 51.4% sometimes use mosquito netting to sleep, 58.9% sometimes use repellent to go outdoors, 50.5% always eliminate the accumulated water, 48.6% always clean the contour of their home and eliminate puddles, 65.4% sometimes uses insecticides and pesticides , 75.7% sometimes wear long sleeves, 72.9% sometimes seek information about the disease, 65.4% sometimes meet the recommendations provided by health personnel and 47.7% have a bad prevention practice level.
