This research focuses on analysing the challenges encountered at Banco de la Nación de Sicuani, specifically regarding customer influx, service organization, number of operational windows, and notably, waiting time in queues. The main objective is to understand the functioning of queues at this bank branch. A descriptive approach and a non-experimental design were employed, using observation sheets as the primary tool. These sheets were applied on specific days: Tuesday from 15:00 to 17:00, Friday from 16:00 to 18:00, and Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00. Results showed that during these periods, a total of 329 clients waited in the bank queue, with an average waiting time of 73 minutes. The queue discipline was identified as FIFO (First In, First Out), with a finite or limited queue. Additionally, an average of 4 service providers were observed. The number of clients served per window and the efficiency of each for different types of operations were also analysed. All data were processed using SPSS software.
