The present investigation called: “Efficiency of a crushed brick filter in reducing contaminants in dairy effluents from Zurite, Anta.”, had the general objective of Analyzing the efficiency of crushed brick as a filter in reducing contaminants. An experimental plan was established that provides a filtration system with output to 3 experiments A1, A2, A3; Through the analysis of 4 parameters: BOD5, COD, OILS AND FATS, TOTAL SOLIDS, the efficiency of each filter was demonstrated. The results of the research determined the efficiency of the crushed brick in the reduction of contaminants expressed in the results of the analysis tests. in the laboratory and the comparison of the percentage and statistical efficiency in the significant variations in water filtration. Water samples were taken for each filter and the analysis of the 4 parameters mentioned in each experiment was carried out. In this case there were 3 filters of medium fine granulometry. In filter A1. In the BOD5 analysis it reached values of up to 89.33% efficiency, in the COD analysis it reached values of up to 89.35% efficiency, in the analysis of oils and fats oils and fats efficiency percentages of up to 88.67% were obtained and in the Total solids test up to 92.50% efficiency. In the A2 filter In the BOD5 analysis it reached values of up to 90.74% as soon as the COD parameter reached values of up to 92.69 in the analysis of oils and fats oils and fats efficiency percentages of up to 98.76% were obtained and in the solids test totals of up to 90.76% efficiency. In the A3 filter, in the BOD5 analysis it reached values of up to 72.91%, while the COD parameter reached values of up to 76.81% and in the total solids test, up to 89.77% efficiency.
