The present study was of a correlational, descriptive type with the purpose of evaluating the oral hygiene habits and its association with the perception of oral health in pregnant patients of the Belenpampa health center. To perform the measurement, a questionnaire was used as a questionnaire with 26 questions, 14 of oral hygiene habits and 12 of perception of oral health. It was related to the age, degree of education, origin, occupation denominated socio demografico data and the variables with each other. The results of the habits survey were grouped according to the number of correct answers (rc) in the following intervals: good (1-5 rc), regular (6-9 rc), and bad (10-14 rc) for perception levels based on the scale of (Rensis Likert) annex n ° 2 were constructed. It was found that the most frequent oral hygiene habits were poor with 68.7% (138 pregnant patients), followed by regular with 26.9% (54 pregnant patients) and good with 4.5% (9 pregnant patients). The most frequent oral health perception was 78.6% (158 pregnant patients), followed by regular with 20.4 (41 pregnant patients) and poor with 1.0 (2pregnant patients). it was observed that in the majority of this group the degree of complete secondary education prevailed with 42.8% (86 pregnant patients), and the most frequent ages were between 19 and 25 years old, with 36.3% (73 patients pregnant women), with 54.2% (109 pregnant patients) and 42.8% (86 pregnant patients) of urban housing, it was established that there is no association between ral hygiene habits and perception of oral health (p> 0.05, 0.491).
