The present thesis entitled “FACTORS AFFECTING THE LEVEL OF OCCUPATIONAL STRESS IN NURSING PROFESIONAL FROM THE CRITICAL SERVICES OF THE ADOLFO GUEVARA VELASCO HOSPITALESSALUD CUSCO”, had as general objective to determine the factors that influence the level of job stress in Nursing professionals from the critical services in Adolfo Guevara Velasco Hospital-ESSALUD Cusco, 2017. The methodological design used was cross sectional and correlational, the study population consisted of 76 Nursing professionals that work in the critical services of the Adolfo Guevara Velasco Hospital-ESSALUD Cusco. Within the general characteristics are came to the following results, 86,4% of Nursing professionals ase 36 years of age, 87,9% are female, 56,1% have 1 to 2 children, 69,7% are married, 62,2% perform physical activity, 39.4% are workingin the emergency service. 81,8% Nursing professionals of critical services of the Adolfo Guevara Velasco Hospital have stress average and 12,1% high stress. Of the factors that influence the level of stress we have the application of the chisquare statistic with p=0,008 years of service, p= 0,002 the number of patients attended per shift and p = 0,511 the shift developed by the nursing professional critical services. It is concluded that the years of service and the number of patients served per shift if they influence the level of stress while the shifts they develop do not influence the stress level of the nursing professionals of the critical services of Adolfo Guevara Velasco Hospital ESSALUD 2017.
