universitaria.
The research focused on the relationship between emotional intelligence and psychological wellbeing in students at the Andean University of Cusco in 2023. We worked with a total of 376 students enrolled in the different faculties, whose ages range between 17 years and 33 years. It has a quantitative approach and correlational design using relevant statistics whose results allowed the data to be analyzed. The study, of a cross-sectional and non-experimental nature, observes the variables without direct intervention, allowing an objective evaluation at a specific time. The instruments that were used to measure the variables were the BarOn ICE Emotional Inventory and the Ryff Psychological Well-being Scale. The results of the Spearman assessment test confirmed a significant connection between emotional intelligence and psychological well-being, supporting the rejected null hypothesis with p = 0.000. The positive rating of 28.1% indicates that an increase in emotional intelligence is associated with greater psychological well-being, supporting the idea that emotional intelligence provides essential tools to face emotional challenges, facilitate adaptation and strengthen resilience. It is highlighted that emotional intelligence favors the construction of solid relationships and social support, being essential for psychological well-being during the university stage.
