The present research work entitled "NUTRITIONAL STATUS AND ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE IN STUDENTS OF THE HUAYLLACOCHA EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION - CUSCO 2023" whose objective was to determine the relationship between nutritional status and academic performance in boys and girls of the educational institution Nº 50109 Huayllacocha and a methodology with a quantitative approach of descriptive-correlational, cross-sectional and observational type was used. The final sample consisted of schoolchildren who attend primary school at Educational Institution No. 50109 Huayllacocha in the period from March to May 2023. The techniques used were: anthropometric evaluation and evaluation of academic performance. The data was processed and analyzed using the statistical programs Excel 2019, SPSS and Chi-Square. The data are presented in figures and tables with their respective descriptive analyses. Results: Of 106 students that make up the sample, of those with poor academic performance, 14.2% have a normal nutritional status, 1.9% have a nutritional status of risk of thinness, 4.7% are at risk of being overweight; and of those with very good academic performance, 17% have a normal nutritional status, 2.8% are at risk of being overweight, and 0.9% have a nutritional status of overweight. Conclusions: Regarding the general objective, it was concluded that there is no statistically significant relationship between nutritional status and academic performance (p˃0.05).
