We live in an era ruled by the continuous advancement of technology in all fields, and, perhaps, is in the medicine where this development generates controversy to intervene in aspects that have much to do with the beliefs, religion, the principles of the people, as evidenced in the studies that are carried out in the field of human reproduction. Since 1978, in which he was born the first girl product of fertilization performed outside the mother’s womb to date have been born in the world, millions of people, and carried out these procedures in most countries of the world. One of the stages involved in vitro fertilization is the stimulation of the ovaries to several eggs are ready to be fertilized, happening the moment of fertilization, generally, in many more eggs than those that can be implanted in the uterus of the woman seeking treatment, leaving several in quality of surplus, the same that must be preserved in cold (cryopreservation). It is here, where it generates one of the main problems of in vitro fertilization, which leads you to wonder what to do with the fertilized ova surplus?. There are few countries in which has been legislated in relation to the cryopreservation of embryos, being that in practice the fate of these is the use in medical research, donation to other infertile couples or are simply deleted. The life of the human being begins at the time that the egg is fertilized by the sperm. The dignity of the person is by the fact of human being does not by any one feature in particular nor from any specific point in the course of their development. Then, these fertilized eggs which due to the cryopreservation have stopped their development, they must be protected and allowed to continue its development in the uterus of the woman, from which they were removed or another woman, giving in this case the figure of the donation. The position of the researcher is by the prohibition of the cryopreservation of embryos and only in certain cases for medical reasons, temporarily not being able to perform the procedure will cryopreserved until they can be implanted in the woman or finally can be donated.
