The thesis titled "Knowledge and Practices on Self-Care during the Puerperium in Women from the Pisac District, Cusco 2023" aimed to determine the level of association between knowledge and practice regarding self-care during the immediate and late puerperium in women from the Pisac district, Cusco 2023. The methodology employed a quantitative approach, correlational scope, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and prospective design; the sample consisted of 94 immediate and late postpartum women, to whom a survey technique was applied using one questionnaire for knowledge and another for the practice of postpartum self-care. Among the findings, it was discovered that 52.13% were aged between 20 to 30 years, 53.19% had higher education, 43.62% were cohabiting, 31.91% reported being merchants, and 84.04% professed the Catholic religion. Regarding obstetric characteristics, 75.53% reported having received more than 6 prenatal visits, 59.7% were experiencing their second pregnancy, and 71.28% had no history of interrupted pregnancies. The level of self-care knowledge in postpartum women was 62.80% regular, 28.70% poor, and 8.50% good; likewise, the practice of self-care showed that 61.70% of postpartum women carried it out adequately and 38.30% inadequately. Lastly, a statistically significant association was established between knowledge and practices on self-care during the immediate and late puerperium with a Chi-Square value of p=0.005 and a Cramer's V coefficient of 0.338, concluding that there is a moderate significant association between both variables.
