Abstract: La tesis titulada “Conocimientos y prácticas sobre autocuidado durante el puerperio en
mujeres del distrito de Pisac, Cusco 2023” tuvo como objetivo determinar el nivel de
asociación entre conocimiento y práctica sobre el autocuidado durante el puerperio mediato
y tardío en mujeres del distrito de Pisac, Cusco 2023. Metodología de enfoque cuantitativo,
alcance correlacional, diseño no experimental, transversal y prospectivo; la muestra estuvo
constituida por 94 puérperas mediatas y tardías, a quienes se les aplicó la técnica de la
encuesta usando un cuestionario para el conocimiento y otro para la práctica del autocuidado
puerperal. Dentro de los resultados se halló que 52.13% tenían edades entre 20 a 30 años, el
53.19% tiene estudios superiores, 43.62% tiene un estado civil de conviviente, 31.91%
mencionó ser comerciante y 84.04 profesaba la religión católica. Con respecto a las
características obstétricas el 75.53% informó haber recibido más de 6 atenciones prenatales,
59.57% experimentaba su segunda gestación y 71.28% no presentó antecedentes de
embarazos interrumpidos. El nivel de conocimiento de autocuidado en las puérperas fue del
62.80% como regular, 28.70% mala y 8.50% buena; asimismo la práctica del autocuidado
mostró que el 61.70% de puérperas la realiza de forma adecuada y 38.30% inadecuada.
Finalmente se estableció una asociación estadísticamente significativa entre el conocimiento
y las prácticas sobre el autocuidado durante el puerperio mediato y tardío con un valor Chi
Cuadrado de p=0.005 y un coeficiente V de Cramer de 0.338, concluyendo que existe una
asociación significativa moderada entre ambas variables.
The thesis titled "Knowledge and Practices on Self-Care during the Puerperium in Women from the Pisac District, Cusco 2023" aimed to determine the level of association between knowledge and practice regarding self-care during the immediate and late puerperium in women from the Pisac district, Cusco 2023. The methodology employed a quantitative approach, correlational scope, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and prospective design; the sample consisted of 94 immediate and late postpartum women, to whom a survey technique was applied using one questionnaire for knowledge and another for the practice of postpartum self-care. Among the findings, it was discovered that 52.13% were aged between 20 to 30 years, 53.19% had higher education, 43.62% were cohabiting, 31.91% reported being merchants, and 84.04% professed the Catholic religion. Regarding obstetric characteristics, 75.53% reported having received more than 6 prenatal visits, 59.7% were experiencing their second pregnancy, and 71.28% had no history of interrupted pregnancies. The level of self-care knowledge in postpartum women was 62.80% regular, 28.70% poor, and 8.50% good; likewise, the practice of self-care showed that 61.70% of postpartum women carried it out adequately and 38.30% inadequately.
