The general objective of this investigation was to determine the level of influence of the credit evaluation on the delinquency of clients in the Quillacoop Savings and Credit Cooperative of the San Sebastián agency, located in Cusco during the year 2021. For this, a quantitative methodology and a linear regression model to test the hypothesis. Likewise, it corresponds to basic research with a correlational descriptive scope, which sought to establish a causal relationship. The study population included 50 files, from which a probabilistic sample of 15 files that were delinquent was obtained. For data collection, the documentary review technique of disbursed credits was obtained. Based on the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) model, a Pearson coefficient value (R) was found to be 0.615, indicating that there is a moderate and significant relationship between the variables. While, the adjusted R2 was 0.366, which indicates that the level of robustness was 36.6% to explain the variability of the level of delinquency. Furthermore, it is concluded that the application of credit evaluation has a significant influence on delinquency, since the significance value (0.03) is less than 0.05. It is observed that this influence is negative, which means that, when rigorous credit evaluation is applied, delinquency decreases by 39%.
