The main objective of this research is to determine the levels of service and road capacity presented by the different traffic light and non-traffic light intersections of the section under study that includes Av. Tullumayo, Alameda Pachacuteq and Av. 28 de Julio of the city of Cusco. To determine the service levels and road capacity, data collection was carried out using vehicle capacity developed at each of the intersections of the section under study, considering the hours of greatest demand (rush hour). In the same way, the geometric characteristics of the tracks under study were obtained, having as support the engineering instruments: the wincha for the measurement of track widths and lanes, the ecclimeter to verify the slope, the traffic light cycles were also obtained and the number of lanes q has each intersection. We proceeded to the processing of all the information collected, digitizing each of the intersections of Av. Tullumayo, Alameda Pachacuteq and Av. 28 de Julio to calculate the road capacity and service levels presented by each intersection traffic light and non-traffic lights, based on the HCM road capacity manual and modeling the entire section under study with the SYNCHRO software, which allowed us to have results in their current state. Having already the current state of all Av. Tullumayo, Alameda Pachacuteq and Av. 28 de Julio, we continue with the modeling of a proposal of a bicycle corridor in both directions of circulation and in this way obtain the results of road capacity, delays and level of service that each intersection presents with the given proposal. Finally, a comparison of the two results obtained is made, to finally obtain the conclusions, and then the recommendations of some improvements that can be implemented to the present research work.
