The research is within the paradigm quantitative, correlational scope and observational design. The sample was continued by 142 children aged 11 to 12, taken from a population of 160 schoolchildren from a National institution in the city of Cusco. The INTO was used, with its two components the aesthetic and the dental health component; For the variable impact of malocclusions on quality of life, the Peruvian version of the Child-OIDP was used. The following results were obtained: the severity of the impact of conditions that affect daily performance or quality of life in schoolchildren had an average of 0.82 to smile or show teeth, followed by an average of 0.65 to clean the mouth, an average of 0.62 for eating food. 33.10% of the children evaluated had a slight need for treatment in their Dental Health components, 74.65% presented no need for treatment in their Aesthetic component. It was concluded that the performances most affected by malocclusions were smiling, cleaning teeth and eating food. The impact of malocclusions on the quality of life is associated with the Orthodontic Treatment Necessity Index in the extension of the impact of eating, speaking, cleaning, resting and maintaining a good mood, but does not show an association with the extension of the impact. when smiling, doing work and contacting other people.
