It was found that 68% of the female gender are more likely to suffer from this disease, the highest density of contracting diabetes is 65 and 70, the origins of diabetes are seen mostly in urban areas by 92%. Arriving at one, it was also observed that 68% had a higher level of education, 28% had completed secondary school and 4% had only studied primary school. In conclusion, according to the results, we were able to see that the level of knowledge of patients with type 2 Diabetes mellitus from the EsSalud Cusco 2023 social security system about their disease is relatively good, because more than half of the responses in the questionnaire were correct, which suggests that patients have a good level of knowledge of their disease, although there is still room for improvement.
