The study investigated the relationship between exam anxiety and learning styles in students from a pre-university academy in Cusco in 2023. Exam anxiety is a common emotional response that can negatively affect concentration and performance, while learning styles reflect individual preferences in the knowledge acquisition process. A non-experimental, cross-sectional design was employed, with a census sample of 365 students. Two instruments were used for data collection: the Self-Assessment Inventory for Exam Anxiety (IDASE) and the Honey-Alonso Learning Styles Questionnaire (CHAEA). The analysis showed that 65.8% of students reported a high level of anxiety before admission exams. Additionally, 65.5% of respondents indicated a high use of defined learning styles. A moderately strong positive relationship was found between anxiety and learning styles, with a correlation coefficient of 0.47, indicating that as anxiety increases, so does the use of specific learning styles. The results of this study indicate a significant correlation between levels of exam anxiety and learning styles. Students experiencing greater anxiety tend to intensify their use of learning styles. These findings highlight the importance of addressing both anxiety and learning strategies to improve academic performance and students' overall well-being.
