The study of the processes of health care has become a very broad field confluence of many actors and interests, mainly seeking efficiency, quality and effectiveness of their actions and make the best possible care (humane, comprehensive, integrated, holistic, etc.) with the best results in the shortest time possible. This research is mainly aimed “Determining the management of referrals and counter obstetric patients treated at the Health Center Paucartambo of the 2014“; and describe the sociodemographic and reproductive characteristics, describe the management of obstetric patients referrals from the level of health facilities; describe the management of obstetric patients referrals from the community level and establish the relevance of the report of the contrarreferencias of obstetric patients referred to the health center Paucartambo; through a descriptive scheme of synchronous cross-sectional retrospective of-qualityquantitative, non experimental design approach. The results processed and tabulated show; In relation to the sociodemographic and reproductive characteristics of the abovementioned obstetric patients, that age ranges from 29 to 38 years old (52.05%), where 76.71% have secondary education, 50.68% of whom live together, The rural area in 71.23%, with comprehensive health insurance 94.52%, 34.25% have 2 to 3 children, the births at the institutional level in 98.63%, did not use any contraceptive method 1.37% and that The type of contraceptive method were natural in 79.45% of the cases. Regarding the reference management of obstetric patients from the health establishment level, it is evident that the diagnosis in 15.07% is for hemorrhages of half of pregnancy and for severe preeclampsia, respectively, 13.70% for labor, identifying Health problems to 82.19%, with a family companion 94.52%, being authorized for their referrals by the medical staff in 42.47%, accompanying in the transfer the obstetrician staff (57.53%), using the ambulance 73.97% as (91.78%), 71.23% were transferred to the Regional Hospital of Cusco, where of the 73 patients referred to, 100% had pharmacological treatment, 40 (54.79%) had medical status, Patients received intravenous infusions, 08 (10.96%) received other types of medication; That 82.19% of the references were coordinated in advance, arriving at the gynecological-obstetric emergency service 60.27%, external office 32.88% and only 6.85% for diagnostic support, 83.56% with subsidized insurance. Also in the reference management of obstetric patients from the community level, it is noted that in the Health Center of Paucartambo and the area of influence, there are no active or socialhealth organizations and / or community agent Of health, finding no evidence or reports. On the other hand, the pertinence of the report of the counterreference of referred obstetric patients, it is felt that 83.56% arrived stable, being 100.00% in an establishment with greater resolution capacity, 95.89% of justified references and no obstetric patients died (100.00%).
