The present thesis has been elaborated in the city of Cusco, It intends to analyze how the physical-mechanical properties of the wood of eucalyptus globules treated with kerosene, beeswax and cooking oil used for structural use in Pisac vary. The application is done by prolonged immersion, the scope of the research is descriptive correlational, it seeks to specify the physical-mechanical properties of the wood that is subjected to an analysis, which aims to measure and collect information. The study is quantitative and applied, the objective is to demonstrate experimentally the changes in the wood in its natural state as well as when it is treated. A brief study of the place was carried out identifying that it complies with the characteristics, the population study was centered in the District of Pisac and in the quantification a total of 720 samples were collected. These samples are classified in four groups, 180 samples in their natural state, 180 samples treated with Paraffin, 180 samples with Beeswax and 180 with Used Cooking Oil. The wood was cut, transported and stored according to the Standard, the samples were evaluated in the laboratory of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of the Universidad Andina del Cusco. The following tests were carried out and the results were as follows: the wood samples treated with kerosene, beeswax and used cooking oil showed a significant improvement. In the moisture content test, the treated samples revealed resistance to agents such as fungi, moths and others. In the Brinell hardness test, the wood exhibits the ability to withstand loads and resist them effectively. In the tests of compressive strength parallel and perpendicular to the grain, shear strength and resistance to static bending show that Eucalyptus Globulus wood treated with Paraffin, Beeswax and Used Cooking Oil has a significant improvement and can be used for structural purposes.
