The purpose of this research project was to analyze the physical and mechanical properties of non-structural lightweight concrete by replacing the coarse aggregate of a concrete with pumice stone from the Raqchi quarry and with fine aggregate from Vicho and Cunyac. This investigation was based on concrete samples, which were elaborated with IP Portland cement of the Yura brand, fine aggregate of the Cunyac and Vicho quarries, coarse aggregate of the Raqchi quarry, of the city of Cusco; the design of mixtures for conventional concrete and concrete with pumice stone was carried out by the method ACI 211.1. Said samples consisted of cylindrical specimens, which were tested in the limits in which a nonstructural concrete f'c is found. 140 kg / cm2, f'c. 150 kg / cm2, f'c. 160 kg / cm2 and f'c. 175 kg / cm2 and a conventional concrete made with IP Portland cement of the YURA brand, the specimens were subsequently tested at 7, 14 and 28 days of age, obtaining as main conclusions that there is a variation of the specific weight between a conventional concrete and a light non-structural concrete of a 25.24% reduction, in the absorption a variation of 2.01% of a conventional aggregate was observed as opposed to 16% of a porous volcanic aggregate.
