Objective: to describe the demographic, clinical, radiological and therapeutic characteristics in pediatric patients with COVID-19 at the Adolfo Guevara Velasco hospital, period 2020-2022. Materials and methods: a descriptive and retrospective study was carried out. The medical records of pediatric patients treated for COVID-19 at the Adolfo Guevara Velasco hospital in Cusco during the period 2020-2022 were evaluated. Data collection forms were used to collect information. Results: A total of 330 patients were included, of which 54.5% were boys and the most affected age group was middle childhood with 39.7%. 11.2% of patients were identified with some comorbidity, the majority were of the neurological type. The most frequent clinical manifestations were fever, cough and rhinorrhea. The clinical evolution was favorable in 91.5% of cases, with younger infants being the ones who had unfavorable evolution in a greater proportion than the other age groups (53.8%). Regarding severity, 82% of patients had mild disease. Younger infants had severe forms of the disease in a greater proportion (45.2%). The most frequent laboratory findings were altered C-reactive protein values and anemia. The most common radiographic sign was the alveolar pattern (42.2%), and the most common tomographic finding was the CO RADS 5 classification (43.8%). Regarding treatment, 78.5% were outpatient and 21.5% were in-hospital, and the most used treatment was symptomatic management (319 patients), followed by oxygen therapy and the use of corticosteroids. Conclusions: COVID-19 in pediatric patients at the Adolfo Guevara Velasco hospital tends to be a mild disease with a favorable evolution, mostly treated with symptomatic treatment. Younger infants developed severe forms of the disease much more frequently than other age groups.
