The main objective of this research is to determine the influence of the addition of burned engine oil and aloe vera mucilage on the physical-mechanical properties of a cohesive soil at the road subgrade level, considering 3 dosages: Soil + 8% oil + 25 % mucilage, Soil + 8% oil + 50% mucilage and Soil + 8% oil + 75% mucilage. Among the properties evaluated: plasticity, compaction, support capacity and permeability of the soil. The tests were carried out on: granulometry, moisture content, consistency limits, SUCS and AASTHO classification, modified Proctor, CBR and permeability. All these tests were carried out in a soil laboratory based on the “Materials Testing Manual” and to the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). The methodology used in this has a quantitative approach, with a descriptiveexplanatory level or scope of research, using the hypothetico-deductive research method and an experimental methodological design. When defining the type of soil according to the SUCS classification, the result was a soil type CL-ML (Low Plasticity Silty Clay) for the 03 pits, and according to the AASTHO classification it gave us a soil type A-4 (4) for pits 01, 02 and a soil type A-4(3) for pit 03, described as: mainly fine silty particles. The plasticity index obtained from the natural soil was 6.19%, for dosage 1 5.85%, for dosage 2 5.11% and for dosage 3 4.54%. For Modified Proctor, the natural soil has a DMS of 1.90 gr/cm3 and a CHO of 9.86%, dosage 1 a DMS of 1.96 gr/cm3 and CHO of 8.63%, dosage 2 a DMS of 1.96 gr/cm3 and CHO of 8.24% and dosage 3 a DMS of 2.01 gr/cm3 and CHO of 6.47%. The natural soil has a CBR of 9.07%, dosage 1, CBR of 12.25%, dosage 2, CBR of 13.60% and dosage 3, CBR of 14.15%. The natural soil has a very low degree of permeability like dosage 1 and is practically impermeable with dosages 2 and 3. The research concludes that the addition of burned engine oil in combination with aloe vera mucilage positively influences the physical properties. -mechanics of a cohesive soil at the road subgrade level, since we observed a decrease in the plasticity index, an increase in the degree of compaction, a considerable improvement in the CBR going from a regular subgrade to a good subgrade and the decrease in the degree of permeability of the soil. Dosage 3 being the one that obtained the best results.
