The study “Nutritional status of children under 5 years of age who attend the IEI “La Inmaculada“ Nº 698 Santiago, Cusco - 2016“, was carried out with the objective of determining the nutritional status of the children of the IEI La Inmaculada Nº 698 Santiago, Cusco 2016., It had a descriptive and transversal methodological design. The instrument used for the collection of the information was the survey, nutritional assessment cards, CRED booklet and the collection technique was the interview. The sample was obtained through a probabilistic sampling, by applying the formula for finite populations. Among the most salient results was determined that the nutritional status of children under 5 years of age is normal, according to the indicators weight / age, height / age, weight / height. According to the anthropometric weight / height indicator, 94.19% is normal, in relation to the height / age relationship, 10.47% is in nutritional risk. Another indicator shows that 1.16% of children studied have short stature and finally, according to the weight / age indicator, 9.30% were found to be at nutritional risk.
