Title. - Ergonomic Risk Factors Associated with Low Back Pain of the Professional Nursing Staff of the Antonio Lorena Hospital of Cusco, 2017. Objective. - To determine the association of ergonomic risk factors and low back pain of the Professional Nursing staff working at the Antonio Lorena Hospital in Cusco, 2017. The variables of interest are low back pain, ergonomic risk factors. Methodological Design. - The type of study was simple, retrospective and transversal non-experimental correlation, applying an intentional non-probabilistic sampling, since it was decided to work with the population group that belongs only to the healthcare area of the institution. To perform the hypothesis test, the Spearman rank correlation coefficient (non-parametric statistics) was chosen, which allowed us to measure the degree of correlation between the variables of the study. Results.- 57.5% of nursing professionals are exposed to ergonomic risk factors at a medium level, 40% are exposed to a high level of ergonomic risk factors, and 2.5% to ergonomic risk factors in a low level. 70% of nursing professionals have low back pain or low back pain. Regarding the correlation between low back pain and ergonomic risk factors, it is 0.425, which indicates that this correlation is low positive; to biomechanical factors: moderate positive correlation (0.562) (rho = 0.269 in the sub-acute sub-dimension and rho = 0.361 in the chronic sub-dimension), environmental factors: moderate positive correlation (0.480) (rho = 0.400 in the sub-dimension sub-acute) and as for temporal factors, there is no correlation between temporary risk factors and low back pain with a value 0.297 greater than the value of significance 0.05.
