The present thesis is framed in the city of Cusco, the research aims to evaluate the variation of the physical - mechanical properties of Miza wood from the Puerto Maldonado area, compared to Miza wood from the Camanti and Kosñipata areas according to NTP E.0.10. The physical-mechanical properties that were tested were: Moisture Content, Basic Density, Shear parallel to the grain, Axial compression or parallel to the grain, Perpendicular compression, Static bending and Brinell Hardness, for which a total of 432 specimens made of 5 trees according to the NTP 251.008 from the areas of Puerto Maldonado, Camanti and Kosñipata, being used for each test a total of 24 specimens per evaluation group. The dimensions of each specimen were made in accordance with the provisions of the Peruvian Technical Standards, and it was verified that they were free of defects before each test and that all the samples were in the same conditions. Statistical criteria were used, among them Chauvenet, which served to approve or discard the data obtained, a 5% exclusion limit was also used; To obtain this representative data, the Student (t) probabilistic function was used at a 5th percentile at a 95% confidence level. Based on the results obtained, chapter VI presents the conclusions and recommendations, showing that the physical-mechanical properties of Miza wood from the Puerto Maldonado area are better compared to Miza wood from the Camanti and Kosñipata areas. in accordance with the provisions of the Peruvian Technical Standard E.010.
