Introduction: Tuberculosis is one of the diseases that still persists in Cusco, according to the provinces La Convención is in the first place with the highest incidence rate. For this reason, it is necessary to investigate the relationship between available knowledge and tuberculosis, in order to have a better overview of how much the population knows about this disease, as well as what attitude it takes to prevent it in the province of La Convención. Objective: Determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the attitude towards the prevention of tuberculosis in the population that attends the IPRESS I-4 Santa Ana - La Convención, period June - July 2023. Materials and methods: A cross-sectional, correlational and descriptive study, was realized at the IPRESS I-4 Santa Ana in La Convención, in a total of 202 people who attended said Health Center; Validated questionnaires were applied to all participants. The information was arranged in Microsoft Excel LTSC and entered into the statistical program SPSS for descriptive statistics and their respective multivariate analysis. Results: It was observed that 19.3% of the total respondents presented a low level of knowledge. Of this group, 12.9% had a bad attitude and 6.4% a good attitude. 68.8% had average knowledge, of these 19.3% had a bad attitude, while 49.5% had a good attitude. 11.9% had high knowledge and of this group, only 1.5% showed a bad attitude towards prevention. The results of the Spearman's Rho correlation between the level of knowledge about tuberculosis and the attitude toward tuberculosis prevention in a sample of 202 individuals was 0.447, that is, a moderate positive correlation, and it was also shown that the relationship was significant at the p = 0.01 level Conclusion: There is a significant positive relationship between the level of knowledge and attitude towards the prevention of tuberculosis in the population that attends the IPRESS I-4 Santa Ana - La Convención, period June - July 2023.
