This research work was developed in the city of Cusco, where the resistance to compression, resistance to bending and the specific weight of concrete made with the chemical component “LAURIL SODIUM SULFATE“ (LSS); this component is present in products such as soaps, detergents and other cleaning products that produce bubbles as well as in air-entraining additives for concrete that is used in cold climates where the ice-thaw phenomena occur in the concrete. To verify the results, concrete cylindrical specimens were produced, as well as joists and concrete cubes; with design strength of 210 kg / cm2; with cure times of 7, 14 and 28 days and with LSS percentages of 0.02%, 0.05%, 0.08% and 0.12%; In the results of the investigation it was determined that the use of the LSS component as an airentraining additive increases the initial and final compression resistance in the percentages of 0.02% and 0.05% and reduces in the percentages of 0.08% and 0.12%; as well as it was determined that the flexural strength was increased in the percentage 0.02% and 0.05% of LSS and decreases in the percentages of 0.08% and 0.12% of LSS finally determined that the specific weight of the modified concrete decreases inversely proportional to the percentage of LSS that is used, all these results were compared with respect to the concrete produced without modification.
