The study called “FAMILY CLIMATE AND THE SOCIAL SKILLS OF THE STUDENTS OF THE 3ND AND 4TH GRADE OF HIGH SCHOOL OF THE LUIS NIETO MIRANDA, MARANGANI - CANCHIS, CUSCO-2017“, had like OBJECTIVE to determine in what measure the Family Climate is related and the Social Skills of the students of the 3rd and 4th grade of high school of the Educational Institution “Luis Nieto Miranda“ of Marangani - Cusco, 2017. METHODOLOGY was used, the quantitative approach, of descriptive basic type, with non-experimental design, cross-correlational, the data was collected through the technique of the survey, as for the instrument used was the questionnaire for both family climate variables and social skills, both are validated instruments. The population was conformed by students of the 3rd and th grade of secondary education of the Luis Nieto Miranda educational institution of the district of Marangani, in a total of 98 schoolchildren, who were also the sample, selected by means of a non-probabilistic sampling, of character census THE RESULTS with respect to the general characteristics of the students, the age fluctuates prevalently between 15 to 16 years with 56.1%; in the sex that predominates in a 52.00% is the masculine, of the occupation of the parents the 59.18% are independent and 51.02% of the mothers also. Regarding the educational level of the parents, they have studies at the primary and secondary level, respectively. Regarding the Family Climate, among the highlights we have in the relationship dimension that 51.02% considers to be medium; in the development dimension, 38.78% consider it very bad and the stability dimension 48.98% consider it to be average; generalizing the family climate of the perception of schoolchildren indicate that 45.92% is of average or regular level. Regarding the social skills variable, for the assertiveness dimension, 36.73% stated that it is low average, for the communication dimension 42.86% is considered average, for self-esteem 48.98% considered on average and 38.78 for decision making. % mentions that it is average. In a general way, the Social Skills in 39.8.7% of the students have low average in the development of their own skills. From the hypothesis of Family Climate and Social Skills, with p = 0.00 <0.05 and TB = 0.525, the alternative hypothesis is accepted, concluding that there is a significant relationship between the study variables in the sample of students in the 3rd and 4th grades of secondary school of the educational institution “Luis Nieto Miranda“.
