Any change in the relationship of occlusion is considered as malocclusion and occurs as a result of abnormal shape and function of the soft tissue of the jaw, teeth and the temporomandibular joint. Genetic or hereditary factors and the environment are the two main factors that can trigger a malocclusion. Malocclusions are predisposing factors of other oral conditions such as caries, gingivitis, periodontitis and temporomandibular joint dysfunction, tending the need to implement appropriate preventive measures at every turn. The present study has a level of exploratory-descriptive, observational, quantitative research; it was held in the school “Nuestra Señora de Fatima“ Wanchaq district, department of Cusco, to determine the prevalence of dental malocclusion. It was conducted on a sample of 286 teenagers of both sexes, ages 12 to 18 years taking into account those who meet the inclusion criteria. Malocclusion was evaluated according to Angle's classification, the canine relationship, and anatomical variants of space, profile and arcade. According to the results, malocclusion appeared in 97.89% of the total sample. Showing that Class II malocclusion was the most frequent with 46.1% followed by Class I malocclusion with 37.0% and finally Class III malocclusion with 14.8%. In the canine relationship that occurred more frequently was Class I with 60.1%. Regarding space variants it found that dental crowding presented in 63.98% of the sample, a tooth spacing 18.18%, 50.34% Overjet altered and impaired one overbite 33.91%. Whereas in variants profile it was evident in the anteroposterior profile in a 59.09% and a vertical profile of 5.94%. About variants deforms in the upper and lower arches prevalence was found in a 91.25% and 97.20% respectively
