To begin with, we will distinguish formative work from harmful work. Training work is all activity that facilitates the development of the child, stimulating his creativity, socialization, learning and autonomy. While all harmful work is any activity that violates the rights of the child, which impedes or alters their integral development and interferes in their education or school performance, in this area we locate the vast majority of our children and adolescents who work to survive . The work of the adolescent extends as all paid or non-marketing activity or to the service of another natural or legal person by persons who have not reached the age of 18 (NEVES MUJICA, 2012, page 224). Employers' exploitation of minors who work with minimum wages, despite performing work similar to that of adults, are factors that influence the decision to subject a child to child labor . While it is widely accepted that this decision is based on economic factors, it also recognizes the presence of complementary factors that influence the decisions of families and the possible consideration of child labor as an alternative for improving the living conditions of People or household survival.
